Timeneye provides you with a series of reports to help you evaluate how your activity is going.
In Timeneye, Reports give you a complete overview of the total and billable time spent on each client, project, phase category, billable hours, and team member.
Important note: The reports will only include saved time entries, so it is essential to save any active or pending timers if you want their time to be displayed in Timeneye.
Report Visibility
In Timeneye, each role has a distinct level of visibility when it comes to reports. So, before we proceed further, let's clarify who has the ability to generate reports:
Owners and Admins have the authority to run reports on all projects and users.
Project Managers and Group Managers can generate reports on projects they are a part of and on users who contribute to those projects.
Lastly, regular team Members can generate reports solely on their own activities within the projects they are a part of.
Creating a new report
Navigate to the reporting section in the blue sidebar. Begin by choosing the type of report you wish to generate and selecting a template that suits your needs:
-
Projects to track your progress and stay within your budget;
-
Team to gain valuable insights into your team's efforts and internal costs;
-
Clients to evaluate the profitability of specific projects and ensure accurate billing;
-
Tags for a deeper dive into your data and additional insights;
-
Billable to keep tabs on billable and non-billable hours;
-
A blank report if you prefer to build your report from scratch.
Once you have chosen your main focus, it will be possible to set other filters and extract from Timeneye the data you need the most.
Thanks to our easy-to-use filters, you can select the timeframe you need to focus on and, consequently, the aspects of your project that you need to monitor (phase categories, tags, tag lists, the status of the project, etc.)
The Time Rounding
π This feature is included in the STARTER Plan
With the Time rounding option, you can round your entries for more accurate invoicing and payroll. Click on the feature to activate it, and round off your work hours.
Customizing your report
The first widget you'll come across is the overview widget, which shows the time and money spent on the selected projects. By clicking on the gear icon, you can personalize the data displayed in the overview.
Even if you've chosen to start with a report template, you have the flexibility to further customize your report by adjusting parameters within the widget.
If you want to duplicate or delete a chart widget, simply click on the gear icon.
In the case of a table widget, you can also customize your columns using the gear icon, and duplicate or delete the widget as needed.
If you prefer to add a widget to your report instead, click on the plus sign. Choose the item and layout you wish to display.
How to add your Company Logo to a report
π This feature is included in the STARTER Plan and up
To polish and customize the appearance of your report, you can also choose to add your company logo to it.
Only users with the permission status of Owners can do that.
In Workspace settings>Features, in the Custom report logo section, you can upload the company logo. The logo will show up in the exported reports (more on that in the next chapter).
Saving and exporting reports
π Saving reports is possible in the STARTER Plan and up
Once you are satisfied with your report, simply click on the floppy icon to save it. By starring it, you can ensure that your report remains at the top of the list for easy access.
All the saved reports are stored in a table just below the report templates. In Timeneye, our saved reports are "live," meaning that the data is constantly updated with the latest time records.
You have the option to schedule any saved report and have it delivered to your inbox regularly. Click on the automation button and select the frequency. The clock icon will turn green if the report has been scheduled successfully.
Finally, share your results with your company stakeholders by exporting the reports as PDF or CSV files.
A project report
You could run a report on a specific project directly from the Project detail page, by clicking on the green button stating βreportβ. You will be redirected to the reporting section, but in this case, you only have the data regarding that specific project.
