How to edit the project settings, such as associating a new client, adding new users, adjusting the time budget, or simply changing the name and color.
Editing permissions:
Admins and Owners can edit any project.
Group managers can edit only their groups' projects
Project managers can edit only projects they are responsible for
Simple users cannot edit projects
To edit a single project, click on a project project name to open the Edit Project view. In each tabs, you'll see all the project details you can edit.
Otherwise, you could bulk edit multiple projects at the same time. From the projects list, select the projects you would like to edit by ticking the box next to their name. You'll able to quickly edit the users, groups, phases and clients of multiple projects.
Info tab
Basic Info
You can change a project name by typing a new one in the Name box and changing its color (shown in the entries recap and pie charts) by selecting it from the Color drop-down menu. In the same section you can set a client, or make the project public.
A Public project allows all team members to log their time. When a project is made public, you no longer need to manually add team members each time; all team members will have the ability to log their time for the project right away.
Billing and Budget
Here, you can specify the type of project you are managing: Time & Material, Fixed Fee, or Non-billable. Additionally, you can set a billable rate or fee if needed, and determine whether the project has a budget, which can be defined as either an hourly budget or a monetary budget.
Task Management
This feature has to be enabled by the workspace Owner from the Workspace settings > Feature section. By turning on this feature, users will be able to create, track, and manage tasks for their projects.

Phases Tab
Here, you can see and edit the phases created for the project. You can allocate part of the total budget to individual phases and choose a category for each project phase.
Tag tab
In the Tags tab, you have the option to add and modify the tags associated with the project. You can configure the project to allow no tags, all tags, or only specific tags. Additionally, in the table below, you can allocate part of the budget to each tag for effective budget management across different aspects of the project. Plus, you can set certain Tag Categories as "Required" for that specific project, so your teammates will never forget to assign a tag every time an entry is made for that project.

Users Tab
Similar to the phase section, here you’ll be able to see and edit the project team members, and set a budget for each user in the project. You can also see and edit the user's hourly rates for that project in particular, if applicable. Also, you can assign one or more people as Project Managers (PM).
Groups tab
In the Groups tab, you'll be able to see and manage the groups assigned to the project. If one of the Groups already has a Group Manager (GM), this person will automatically be assigned the role of PM in the project.
Bulk editing your Projects
If you need to edit multiple projects simultaneously, you can do so from the Project section of the workspace using the available bulk editing actions. This feature allows you to efficiently update as many projects as needed at once, ensuring that none are forgotten.
Please note that only certain specific details of the projects can be edited in bulk; for any other changes, you will need to edit each project individually.
To start editing your project, select them using the checkboxes on the left. You'll see a few options appear on the top bar:
- Add users: include users in all the selected projects
- Add Groups: assign the selected project to one or more groups
- Set Client: assign a client to the selected projects
- Add Phases: add new phases to all the selected projects
