Here is how to track your time with Timeneye and have a real-time overview of your ongoing activities and the time you are spending on them
Select a Project
Projects are compulsory to track time in Timeneye.
When you are on the Register Time dialog, you can pick a project from the list under the Projects box. If you want to create a new project, you can click on Create New Project and fill in all the project information.
Select a Phase
Phases, too, are compulsory to track time, so make sure to have at least one phase for every project. When you have selected the project and phase, the system will save your time entry accordingly.
Click on Start Timer
An active Timer will automatically appear on your calendar. You can easily recognize an active timer as it has a small green icon blinking in the bottom right corner, and they are also bigger than entries and paused timers.
Stopping or resuming a timer
When using Duration Mode to track your time, you can easily pause an active timer whenever you need to take a break. Simply click the Pause button located on the right side of the timer box. Once paused, the timer will be moved to your pending timers section in the top bar.
Make sure to save all your pending timers if you want the data to show up in your reports and in the entries log.
Please note: when you track time using the Timeline view mode, it's not possible to start and pause a timer, but only to start and save it. To learn more about the Timeline mode, check out this guide
Editing your timers
Click on the button with the Pencil icon: you’ll now be able to set a new phase or project, add notes and edit the time tracked so far.
💡 Timer tips
Timers will help you accurately track the time spent on specific tasks. You can start the timer at the beginning of your work session, continue with your task, and save it once you have completed your work. For those looking for greater precision in time tracking, timers are the best solution. Just be sure to save your timers to ensure that your data is recorded properly!
