Where to set a Time estimate in Timeneye
Estimates can be applied to individual Tasks. In Timeneye, you can track and manage tasks coming from Microsoft Planner, to Do, or natively created inside the platform.
To learn more about how to create tasks, please visit this page.
Click on an individual task to open the task detail. In the Task detail, look for the Estimate field:
In the field, simply add the time estimate that you have assigned to the task, and save.
On the task, you'll see the time estimate you set VS the actual time tracked for the task.
How to track time against Estimates
Simply click on the Add time button on the task to start tracking your time. Or, you can always open the Register time dialog, and select the project and phase as you always do, and then select the task from the "Task" field.
Save the time entry or timer when you finish working on the task. Once you do, the time comparison between the estimate and the tracked time will be updated on the task:
How to edit a time Estimate
If you go back into the Task details, you'll be able to edit the estimate you previously set.
To ensure you don't lose track of your edit history, simply click the "Estimate Log" button to see how and when the estimate was edited.
